Daphne Minton is an all-around character introduced in 2021. She is a student at Rainbow High that focuses in Accessory Design.
Character Description
Daphne Minton knows exactly how to create the perfect jewelry collection for every fashion line. Her passion for silversmithing and gemology came from her childhood in New Mexico, where she started making friendship bracelets that got more and more elaborate. Daphne knows a lot about the history of her craft — but this isn’t your grandma’s crystal dealer. She always knows what’s new, fresh, and totally unique in the accessory world and her work is the absolute finishing touch to any outfit.
Daphne is the first person to her friends go to for a fresh perspective — if there's drama brewing, they'll always stop and listen to what Daphne has to say — and she doesn't hold back. Daphne loves problem solving — her parents taught her that if you can't fix a problem yourself, just try harder.

Physical Appearance[]
Daphne is a fair-skinned teenage girl with a medium build. She has mint green hair styled into crimped waves with a middle part, and mint green eyes. Her makeup consists of a mint green cut crease buffed out with warm brow eyeshadow topped with gold glitter, and soft red ombre lipstick. Her preferred style seems to be very extravagant and ornate, with many of her pieces incorporating gold as an accent.
Outfits[]
She wears a white bustier top with a gold Greca pattern on the strap, a mint green tweed pencil skirt with a white scarf hanging on the left side of the skirt. On top of the bustier, she wears a shiny mint green jacket with gold chain patterns and a "RH" slider. Her shoes are mint green and clear open toe heel sandals with gold accents in the straps.
Daphne's second outfit consists of a white cropped shirt that has a necklace print with the word "RAINBOW", a mint green quilted jacket with four pockets and gold lining, mint green patchwork denim pants with multiple textile patches, and strappy mint green and white sandal high heels.
Personality
Daphne is kind and always willing to help a friend as seen in The Rainbow High Crest Quest!. She's also very enthusiastic and is interested in semi-precious stones, even running a podcast about them called "Let's Rock". If there's drama brewing, she always has something to say and she never holds back. She loves problem solving as her parents taught her; "If you can't fix a problem, just try harder!". She doesn't over react when her plans don't always succeed; as showcased in season three, episode two. Daphne is likely a well educated student, due to her devotion to her work, consideration and appropriate mannerisms.
Etymology
Daphne[]
Daphne is a feminine Greek name that directly translates to "laurel". Within Greek mythology, there's stories of someone named Daphne being saved from the Greek god Apollo, with Daphne being transformed to a nymph.
Minton[]
Minton is a British surname that is used as a reference to the color mint.

Friends[]
Sunny Madison[]
While not interacting much, Sunny and Daphne are shown to be friendly with each other. Daphne also helped her discover the Rainbow High crest.
Skyler Bradshaw[]
With them both having similar majors and focuses, she and Daphne are close friends, even though not much is known about their friendship. They were both also especially excited for Jett's visit to Rainbow High.
Violet Willow[]
In a similar way to Sunny, Violet and Daphne are friends, both even hosting their own personal shows.
Amaya Raine[]
On The Vi Life it was revealed that Amaya and Daphne bonded at sleep away camp and that's how they became friends. They also worked together for Radiant Week.
Meena Fleur[]
Daphne and Meena became fast friends, talking for hours about crystals, precious stones, and their shared love of travel and music.

- July 18th, 2021: A picture of Daphne's box with her doll inside was leaked, revealing her name on the packaging.
- August 13th, 2021: She debuts in "The Jett Dawson", but has no speaking lines.

- October 1st, 2021: She is released to purchase along with the rest of Series 3.
