Defending the Title! is the forty-eighth episode released for the animated series Rainbow High, and the fifteenth episode of Season 3.
Official Description
Rainbow Dream gave a showstopping performance to close out this round, and now the pressure is ON! But is the stress too much for some of the bands to handle? And have the De'Vious twins put Glitch's hosting gig in jeopardy?
Now it's up to the judges and the fans to vote on who should move on to the Rainbow Vision FINALS!
Plot
The episode starts backstage with Avery preparing Rainbow Dream to go onstage, not before minor chaos ensues backstage. This includes Tessa getting frustrated with her phone, the singer of Those Darn Dolls breaking down, and even The Rainbow Divas announcing they're breaking up. During this, Glitch runs into Holly and Laurel who take their opportunity to distract Glitch, getting Coco to take her away and distract her.
The show carries on and no one is on the stage, with Glitch still being with Coco. Ms. Hilton then takes the stage to stall, using her time to thank everyone and go over the principles of Rainbow Vision. During this Glitch sees the stage and realizes she was tricked, quickly getting back onto the stage. After this Veronica and Naomi run into the De'Vious twins , with everyone shooting each other dirty looks. Once Glitch returns, she welcome Rainbow Dream back to the stage where they perform their song "Hero", wowing the crowd and exiting after.
After this Glitch comes back to the stage, where all the semifinalist groups are projected behind her. She reminds everyone to vote, revealing that both the judges and audience are the ones voting. Right after this both sets of twins are backstage arguing, officially calling off their alliance. Rainbow Dream then walks in after their performance and they realize they missed sabotaging them, making them angrily leave. The stage is shown again where Glitch announces that the finalists will be known next time, ending the episode on a cliffhanger.

- Rainbow Dream's newest song "Hero" is performed onstage.
- Shanelle can be seen in her second outfit, but it is only being seen for a split second in the background.
- The Rainbow Divas are said to be officially broken up in the episode, though later they only kicked out Sabrina from the group.
- The lead performer for Those Darn Dolls is given her first speaking lines, however her full name and her voice actress is not listed in the credits.
Errors[]
- When Glitch and Coco brutally enter the scene to see Paris Hilton giving her impromptu speech, the door they enter from is seen to not contain anything but a white wall behind it, just like in "Here Comes Something New".
- Both Vanessa and Brianna's hair strands are glitched and go through their heads in some portions of the episode.
- Lyric's hair also goes through her arms occasionally.

- The screen which shows all the semi-finalists has some inconsistencies with the outfits:
- While Tessa and Minnie from The Royal Three are seen in their first outfit (despite having performed in their second outfit), Tiara is seen in her second outfit.
- This may be because her main outfit wasn't modeled or rigged yet.
- Natasha is seen in her first outfit despite having performed with her second outfit.
- All the Rainbow Dream members are seen with their second outfits despite only wearing their first outfit during the entire season.
- While Tessa and Minnie from The Royal Three are seen in their first outfit (despite having performed in their second outfit), Tiara is seen in her second outfit.
