"Drama Audition Drama!" is the twenty-third episode released for the animated series Rainbow High, and the fifth episode of Season 2.
Official Description
Laurel and Holly announce that they're directing an upcoming school play and are opening up auditions to the whole school! The first years are SO excited! Jade's on makeup 💄 Bella's on set design, and Amaya's all set to...AUDITION?! Uh-oh, Amaya signed up for the wrong list! Will Amaya the twins let her switch over to costume design? Or will she get a leading role next to her BF River Kendall? 💖
Plot
The episode begins with Amaya and River getting ready for lunch, only to have Holly and Laurel dramatically walk down the hallway, being accompanied by The Assistant. They then put up a list and tell the whole school that they are hosting auditions for their brand new play. While as acting focuses they are most excited for acting, they reveal that students can sign up for behind the scenes work too. Amaya and River are excited and both sign up, with Amaya unknowingly signing the wrong list.
Amaya then goes back to her dorm with Ruby and Jade where she realizes that she signed the wrong list. Ruby reassures her that she should just talk to the twins, with Amaya not knowing how intense they can be. Holly and Laurel then enter the auditorium where the acting auditions begin. The first few auditions are rather comedic, with Sunny being over the top and Stella hiding her accent. This does however show the talents of Georgia and River as the future leads.
Amaya then enters the stage and tries to talk to the twins, only to be interrupted. Holly remembers that Amaya is dating River, and the girls use this to rudely accuse that Amaya is jealous and trying to sabotage Georgia and River. Amaya lets them know she didn't mean to sign up for acting and would never want to sabotage, but they continue to mock her and leave. Days later Amaya reads the list and finds out she did get a role, being a very minor cameo.
