Iris Bow is an all-around character introduced in January 2025. She is a citizen and a Shimmer of Rainbow World.
Character Description
Iris is a fun and creative girl who loves nothing more than spending time her best friends Whitney, Leilani, and Misty, also known as the original Shimmers. She's super organized and doesn't always love when things change, but her friendships help her get through anything. Iris has a huge heart and cares about everyone around her, which sometimes leads her into tricky situations.
One of Iris's favorite things to do is create art and experiment with sparkleglow to find new ways to explore Rainbow World. She's a natural problem solver and her creativity overflows when she has a new project at hand. Even though Iris can be a bit of a perfectionist, she's learning to let go of what she can't control and enjoy her ride! Luckily, she has her little sister Astrid by her side to help her along the way.

Iris is a dark-skinned teenage girl with a medium build. She has curly deep brown hair with multicolored highlights. Her eyes are hazel with shimmery rainbow eyeshadows, and has deep maroon lips.
In the animated series, her makeup is more bold than her doll and artwork.
Outfits[]
Iris's outfit consists of short-sleeved, collared top that is entirely covered in shimmering rainbow sequins, transitioning smoothly across the spectrum of colours. The collar and sleeve edges are subtly trimmed with a white border. She also wears a white skirt that is asymmetrically cut. On her skirt, there is also a faux belt attached with a gold buckle. Her footwear are red crystal boots with rainbow buckles.

Etymology
Iris[]
Iris is a girl's name of Greek origin meaning "rainbow". It is also the name of a flower.
Bow[]
Bow is derived from a geographical locality. 'at the Bow,' a sign-name, from residence at an inn so called; compare Roebuck. A likely sign in the days of archery. In Iris' case however, it is a reference to her rainbow color scheme.
Timeline
- October 2nd, 2024: Her stock photo is revealed.
- October 12th, 2024: Iris' artwork is revealed at the Rainbow High Macy's at Toys R Us event.
- November 28th, 2024: Her doll was leaked at the Amazon store before officially releasing.
- January 1st, 2025: Her doll is officially released.
- March 31st, 2025: Iris makes her animated series debut in a trailer for Season 6.
- April 3rd, 2025: Iris officially appears in the animated series.
