Luna Madison is an all-around character introduced in 2022. She is a student at Shadow High that focuses in Film.
Character Description
Luna is Sunny Madison's twin and her total opposite! She is the moon to Sunny's sun — when the two come together, they form an eclipse-like bond. Unfortunately, the energy around them heightens so intensely, that they often feel more comfortable being apart from each other. Luna is very dry brooding filmmaker, and she has a hard time letting others in. She can be consumed by her art — which is definitely not great for her friendships. She doesn't like criticism or change very well and struggles to take the intense feedback Shadow High is notorious for. Only with her closest friends can she let loose.
Luna's whole family has gone to Rainbow High, so her decision to go to Shadow High is extra potent in her life — she's always trying to prove to herself that she really belongs there. But she loves being the outsider in her family, and Shadow High is absolutely her destiny.

Physical Appearance[]
Luna is a teenage girl with a medium build and dark grey skin. Her hair is shiny warm toned metallic gray colored and is styled into a combination of odango buns and twin tails with straight cut bangs. Her eyes are lavender and her makeup consists of eclipse eye-shadow, a subtle red blush, and black glossy lips.
Outfit[]
Luna wears a very shiny and eclipse colored sleeveless leather bodysuit with flaps and small bright eclipse studs, having very wide cut hips. For her footwear, she wears eclipse gladiator boots and silver metallic glittery socks inside. She accessorizes with metallic grey bracelets and metallic grey leather cutout gloves.
Her second outfit consists of a black pencil skirt dress with buttons, and over-top that she wears a chrome denim jacket with many zippers and sheer sleeves. Her shoes are simple heeled sandals that are black with metallic grey straps.
Personality
She's passionate about filming and would retake shots until she's satisfied with it, as seen in the animated series. She also never likes to admit she's wrong but she knows how to fix her problems with her friends.

Luna is a feminine Spanish and Italian name that directly translates to "moon" in Spanish. It is heavily associated with the moon and the night overall.
Madison[]
Madison is a well known English surname that has German roots and origins.

Sunny Madison[]
Sunny is her twin sister but is her complete opposite because Sunny is cheerful and bright, she seems to avoid her whenever she's around. Despite after the pranks and the hijack live stream, Sunny wants to rekindle their relationship by waving at her in the Shadow High Auditorium for the host-off competition, and during The Royal Three's performance, she waves at her again and gives her a smile. Finally starting to accept her more as a sister, she smiles back at her. It is heavily implied they were a lot closer when they were kids. The two eventually completely heal their bond during Project Rainbow, back to being as close as they were as kids.
Daisy Madison[]
She's her younger sister. Apart from her being mentioned, they have not yet interacted.

Nicole Steel[]
They are seen talking to each other and Nicole has helped her with projects and such, and they have also been seen sitting together.
Shanelle Onyx[]
They were working together to make a fashion film in "Welcome to Shadow High", but had an argument about if they needed a flying scene and Shanelle dramatically quit. Later on, after the Storm sisters Naomi and Veronica told everyone they must complete their midterms a week earlier than expected, Luna apologizes and they talked.
Natasha Zima[]
Although not much is known, they seem like good friends as they stand next to each other a lot.

- February 28th, 2022: She is subtly teased in their official Instagram and is the second one to be officially revealed.
- March 16th, 2022: Photos of Luna's doll are officially revealed on the official Instagram account.
- March 21st, 2022: Luna's Shadow High Series 1 doll is officially released in stores and online for purchase.
- April 1st, 2022: Luna makes her speaking debut in the episode "Not A Typical Day", where she also debuts with Naomi and Veronica Storm.
Trivia
- Her and Sunny are the second twins of the franchise, the first pair of twins being the De'Vious twins.
- Her first name is a reference to her being the polar opposite of her sister.
- Her name also draws parallels to "Luna The Cat" from Sailor Moon, giving that her twin sister resembles Sailor Moon herself, though fans have compared her to the villain "Black Lady".
- Luna is the first member in the Madison Family to not attend Rainbow High.
- In her doll she has a similar but different hairstyle compared to the Sunny doll, however in the animated series she has the same hairstyle as Sunny.
- In her artwork she has straight pigtails, unlike Sunny who has wavy pigtails in her Series 1 artwork.
- Luna and Sunny have known Violet ever since they were babies. Their moms are friends, so they've known each other forever. In the episode "The Eclipse - Phase One, Part Two" she calls Violet "Purple" after laughing, hinting that they know each other.
