Margot De Perla is an all-around character introduced in 2022. She is a student at Pacific Coast High that focuses in Accessory Design.
Character Description
Margot De Perla is often seen as the shy and quiet one, but mostly she's just incredibly observant. She has an attention for the smallest details - and can find beauty in everything so it's no surprise that she has a passion for jewelry making. She originally found her talent when she was swimming and found a few oysters with pearls inside. Now, it seems she has a sixth sense for finding the most beautiful ones for her designs. At Pacific Coast High, it takes a while for her to break out of her shell - but just like the precious gems she finds, once she opens up everyone sees she's just as beautiful on the inside as she is out the outside.

Margot is a pale skinned teenage girl with a thin build, She has freckles on her nose and under her eyes, Her eyes are periwinkle to a blue color. Her makeup consists of lilac and grey eyeshadow, She has long mostly lilac multi-colored hair with streaks of tinsel.
Outfit[]
She wears a white two-piece swimsuit with holographic "Rainbow" monogram pattern, On top of this, she wears a white skirt with a ribbon and a slit and pearl details. For her footwear. She wears a white heel sandals with pearl heels. For her accessories, she wears a white holographic head wrap with orange belt details. She also comes with white transparent glasses and a white sack purse.
Personality
Margot is very shy and gentle, being well seen within her relationships. She's also shown to care a lot about her accessory design focus, always looking for seashells and pearls.

- December 3rd, 2021 : Rainbow High's official Instagram tease Pacific Coast including her with the dolls and playset.
- December 25th, 2021: Along with the others, her stock photos are officially released.
- January 11th, 2022: Margot's official artwork is posted to the official website.
- February 1st, 2022: Her doll is officially released.
- March 25th, 2022: Margot makes her first animated appearance in the episode, "Meet the New Headmistress".
Etymology
Margot is a surname that means "pearl" in French.
Pearla is a name that means "of the pearl" in Spanish.

- Her last name means "of the pearl" in Spanish while her first name means "pearl" in French.
- Her bag appears to be inspired from various terry cloth beach bag designs found among Chanel's collections, with the middle symbol referencing the two "C"'s the brand is known for.
- In the episode "Meet the New Headmistress", Paris Hilton gives the Pacific Coast High students a little food for thought. When it's Margot's turn, they appear to be talking telepathically instead of speaking. This could imply that Margot also holds an interest in the metaphysical.
- Despite being listed as “Opal”, she is based on the color of “Pearl”.
- In the animated series, she wears a pearl necklace, a holographic bracelet on her right arm and a gold bracelet on her left arm. She's one of the few characters to wear accessories that the doll didn't include; like a necklace bracelets or a ring.
