Monique Verbena is an all-around character introduced in 2023. She is a student at Shadow High that focuses in Fashion Design.
Character Description
Everything's bigger in Texas, and Houston's very own Monique Verbena is no exception. Big hair, big hoops, and even bigger talent — she's excited to bring her feminine touch to the Project Rainbow.
Her fashion designs mimic her personal aesthetic — heavy on the ruffles and frills. But despite her ultra girly look, she isn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty. Growing up, she would spend hours with her grandma tending to her garden. That's where she learned how much hard work it takes to make something beautiful. The most stunning flower sprout from the smallest seeds and that's what inspires her petal-like silhouettes. Natural and free flowing, just like the garden she loves so much.

Monique is a teenage girl with a medium build and a dark purple skin tone. She has long, mainly dark purple hair with black and dark iris streaks styled into braids and pulled up into two pigtails. She has baby hair styled along her hair line, and purple eyes. For makeup, she wears silver glitter eye-shadow, with dramatic black eyeliner. She also has white liner drawn on her under eyes.

Monique wears an off the shoulder ruffle dress, with varying layers of iris purple, dark purple, and iridescent purple tulle, topped with iridescent white organza. She accessorizes with a silver studded belt with an oval shaped dark purple center stone, and silver hoop earrings decorated with dark purple iris flowers. She wears a silver necklace resembling two horned snakes clasping onto a dark purple gem between their mouths. She wears dark purple heels with silver straps that share the same snake motif as her necklace. She also wears very dark purple fingerless gloves with black "SH" emblems.
Personality
Monique is a hardworking girl who has spent her life working towards getting into Shadow High. Now being enrolled, she is a proud fashion designer who spends even more time designing her fashion and getting her hands.
Monique is extremely outgoing and somewhat hyper, showing to a bit of a chatterbox, which can annoy others at times. However, she is very kind to others, and makes friends easily with her bright eyes on life.
