Not Getting Ready Today! is the sixty-eighth episode released for the animated series Rainbow High, and the third episode of Season 5.
Official Description
It's time to use their new skills to help the people of Rainbow World find their inner sparkle! Sunny and Skyler are teaming up to help Kira, who just moved to a new town and is getting ready for her first day of school. But she can't decide what to wear, because she's worried about what everyone will think of her. Luckily, new Shimmers Sunny and Skyler are here to remind her to be herself and find an outfit that lets her true colors shine!
Plot
The episode begins in the halls of Rainbow World as Sunny is giving all of her friends a pep talk about being prepared to be going on their missions. After going through a long checklist of what everyone needs, Ms. Morton enters the room and gets everyone's attention. She then tells the girls about their missions, pairing everyone up in the process. In particular she pairs up Sunny and Skyler up, with Skyler being rather worried about failing. After some convincing by Sunny, Skyler and Sunny hop through a portal and head to their destination.
Now going through the portal, it leads them to unknown neighborhood in Rainbow World, with a young girl Kira being seen having trouble picking out an outfit. When they enter the room, Kira is excited, easily recognizing the girls as the new Shimmers. Sunny immediately starts trying to solve Kira's problem, with her literally running around her room and trying to find the perfect outfit. When this doesn't work, Skyler takes a calmer approach and asks Kira how she feels, with her opening up about being unsure of her new school. Skyler then opens up and tells her she's afraid of being a bad Shimmer, with everyone gaining a better understanding of each other.
With everyone's spirits being lifted, Sunny and Skyler break out into performing their song "Smiling & Styling", with the music video playing as well. Once the song concludes, Kira realizes she is actually afraid of the new setting rather than her clothes, and this inspires her to relax and finally pick out an outfit. She ends up picking out a preppy green outfit that she loves, with this being the inspiration she needed to thank the girls and leave. After this the girl thank each other for their help, with them excitedly heading back home when the episode concludes.
