Transcript

(The episode begins with both teams entering the workroom with Maria.)

Maria: Welcome back from Malibu Project Rainbow designers! Rexx and Monique, please switch places with Avery and Victoria. It's another team mix up challenge!

(The students switch around and Avery and Ainsley celebrate being together.)

Avery: Ooh Ainsley!

Ainsley: Yes!

(The Project Rainbow opening then plays, with this transiting to Sunny and Luna speaking to the students.)

Sunny: Please welcome back guest judge Lilac Lane!

(Lilac then enters the room and stands next to the other models.)

Sunny: She'll now be switching gears to become a Project Rainbow model for the rest of the competition! And joining her are two other new models, Blu Brooks and Pinkly Paige!

(As expected, Blu and Paige enter the room and stand with the other models.)

Luna: You have the choice between using them or any of the original three Project Rainbow models for all challenges to come, twice as many to choose from, but choose wisely. Strategy is becoming more and more a part of the game.

Maria: Your challenge this week is to create the perfect look inspired by the new song "Out of This World" by songwriter Delilah Fields and to be worn on tour by Rainbow High's hottest new solo artist Sabrina St. Cloud!

(The song begins playing in the background as both girls make their entrances together. Immediately after they are briefly interviewed in a separate room.)

Delilah: Sabrina and I are as different as can be, but we're the perfect mix.

Sabrina: Opposites attract after all. Together, our song really is out of this world!

(The interview ends and cuts back to Sunny and Luna.)

Sunny: Good luck designers!

Luna: Your time starts now!

(Both teams begin and Victoria's team gets the starting focus.)

Victoria: We could do astronaut chic!

Avery: (Slightly unsure) That could maybe work.

Victoria: Or cosmic goddess!

Ainsley: Well, maybe-

(In pure excitement, Victoria interrupts her.)

Victoria: Oh, oh, oh! Futuristic fashionista!

(Feeling annoyed, Ainsley strikes a mad look as the scene transitions to the other team's work.)

Rexx: We need the most out of this world thing we can think of.

Michelle: Ooh, I know. Aliens!

Olivia: (Agreeing) Yes! An in vogue alien!

Monique: A modern Martian.

Skyler: Hmm, that could be cool, but I'm not sure the song is literally about space. If you really take a look at the lyrics-

(Suddenly feeling inspired, Michelle grabs the lyrics out of Skyler's hands and begins sketching on them.)

Michelle: (Sketching) Hey, what about this?

(She holds up a simple sketch of her sketch concept, with everyone else liking it. After this happens, the focus goes back to the first group.)

Shanelle: Uh, we're getting nowhere with these ideas.

Avery: What would best represent Delilah's song and give Sabrina the most confidence while performing?

Ainsley: (Reading the lyrics) Okay, so the lyrics are talking about how being out of this world is all about stars colliding, burning bright, and gravity not holding you down.

Avery: So the astronomy imagery is a metaphor?

Ainsley: Yeah, and I think it's really about confidence being what makes you shine bright.

Avery: Well what shines brighter in the sky than the sun-

Ainsley: (Completing the sentence) And the moon!

(They both nod in agreement.)

Avery: (To Ainsley) Oh I've missed you so much!

(In the distance Sunny's voice is heard as she enters with Maria and Luna.)

Sunny: Did someone say Sunny and Luna, I, I mean the sun and the moon?

Maria: I hope you're feeling confident in your designs, because the stakes are super high this week. All but one designer from the losing team will be sent home.

(Everyone gasps and is shocked.)

Sunny: (Shocked) What?

Maria: Along with one designer from the winning team.

(After this is said Sunny and Luna are briefly interviewed where they display their disbelief.)

Luna: We didn't even know that!

Sunny: Five people are going back to class? Oh that's so many friends we'll have to say goodbye to!

(Immediately after it cuts to Angelina being dressed by the first team in their outfit with lots of accessories.)

Shanelle: Sometimes less is more. Maybe we should remove a piece, or three, of jewelry.

(Avery and Ainsley quietly agree and they begin removing them.)

Victoria: (Upset) Are you sure? You can't have enough sparkle and shine right?

Angelina: Actually, I feel stellar now! Way less weighed down.

Avery: And, now the design can really speak for itself.

Victoria: (Unsure) Hmm.

(The camera pans to the other team who are dressing Lilac with the help of Jade.)

Lilac: I know I'm an extraterrestrial and all, but this feels a little extra. I can barely move in it.

Monique: (Dismissing) Yeah yeah yeah, fashion is sacrifice.

Olivia: I think it's perfect!

Skyler: If our model doesn't feel confident in it, maybe we should reconsider.

Rexx: But what can we do at this point?

Skyler: Hmm, if she feels like she can't move, we can add a slit to the skirt so she can walk more easily.

Michelle: Do we even have time for that?

Skyler: (Confidently) Hand me my seem ripper.

(She begins working until the buzzer goes off and Sunny and Luna enter.)

Luna: Needles down!

Sunny: It's runway time!

(As everyone gets up to leave, Lilac looks very unsure as Skyler tries to comfort her.)

Skyler: If you get nervous out there, just remember what Delilah and Sabrina's song says, and spin around and shine. You know you're one of a kind, and we're really lucky to have you as our model.

Lilac: Thanks Skyler.

(Maria is seen to be watching this exchange, with the scene cutting to bot models walking down e runway in their finished dresses as the song "Out of This World" plays in the background.)

Delilah: I for one am so touched that my song helped inspire such beautiful fashion today.

Sabrina: I can't wait to wear one of these otherworldly look on every stop of my tour!

Maria: Yes, but which one will it be?

Sunny: Team one, the way you used the sun and the moon as opposites that both shine bright in their own way is such a great representation of our singer/songwriter duo!

Luna: Team two, you were able to take a high concept and make it high fashion without it feeling like a costume.

Maria: I have a question though. Sabrina, can you see yourself wearing these while performing?

Sabrina: Well I have to admit, I don't think I'd be able to perform my best while wearing something that covers all my features rather than featuring them. Plus, it seems like a lot of time in the makeup chair on every stop of my tour.

(As this is said, Jade is seen in the audience reading a book.)

Maria: Unfortunately team two, you missed the mark, so that means the winning design belongs to team one!

(Hearing this the team cheers together while the second team appears worried.)

Sunny: And for her work finding inspiration for the song's lyrics, this week's winner is Ainsley!

(Ainsley and Avery briefly celebrate.)

Avery: Way to go Ains!

Luna: Team one, you still need to vote one designer out, and team two, you need to vote for one person to stay.

(The losing team is then interviewed individually.)

Rexx: I never thought all but one of us would be leaving.

Michelle: I know who I have to vote for.

(The focus cuts backs to the runway where Maria is preparing to tell the votes.)

Maria: The votes are in.

(She picks up an envelope.)

Maria: The person team one has voted out is such a talented designer, but unfortunately, she wasn't able to push past her hesitancy this week and it slowed down her team. I'm sorry Victoria, but you're heading back to class.

(Victoria is then shown disappointed as Avery comforts her.)

Maria: The designer staying from team two is a problem solver who helped pull their team to the finish line. They boosted up the entire team, including their model. Congrats Skyler!

(Feeling excited and shocked, Skyler is left speechless and is interviewed.)

Skyler: (Dumbfounded) I can't believe my team believed in me to vote for me to stay. Maybe I actually have a shot a winning this!

(Maria then takes the focus.)

Maria: (Sternly) Your teammates have spoken; Victoria, Michelle, Rexx, Monique, and Olivia, pack your backpacks, you're all going back to class.

(All of the eliminated students hold hands a take a bow in solidarity.)

Luna: Get ready, because next week is-

Sunny: (Continuing) The semifinals!

(The Project Rainbow logo appears immediately after and concludes the episode.)
