Rainbow High is a doll line, and the first piece of merchandise for the Rainbow High franchise. At its core, Rainbow High is best represented by the dolls they produce of which are the promoted by the animated series. Each doll comes with an extra outfit, including shoes, a stand, hangers, and a comb to brush the doll’s hair. The dolls are usually monochromatic to a specific color (which is occasionally left vague), though some dolls tend to derive from the color and include different colors in the outfit.
Unlike most lines, the core dolls are split into a different series. There are usually two series per year, including around 6 new characters per series, although sometimes stand-alone dolls are released, usually labeled Special Edition or Collector Edition.
The dolls' bodies were changed after Series 2 to include better mobility with the heads, allowing them to rotate and move up and down.
The dolls used to have the same face mold, but after Series 3, ra new milestone was reached with the introduction of more new face molds for the dolls.
In 2024, a soft reboot was made to the line, featuring slime gimmicks and the removal of wrist articulation.
