Rexx McQueen is an all-around character introduced in 2023. He is a student at Shadow High that focuses in Fashion Design.
Character Description
Rexx McQueen is born and raised in the middle-of-nowhere Florida (no, really, he wasn't even anywhere near the ocean). It's not like his hometown was brimming with art, design, Al, and fashion — all his favorite things. So, when Shadow High came calling, Rexx didn't hesitate to pack up his bags and enroll.
In Florida, Rexx was a big fish (with a lot of talent) in a very little pond. But at Shadow High he's come to realize that he still has a lot to learn. Luckily for him, he's in the best place to do so.
Looks
Physical Appearance[]
Rexx has a medium build with coal colored skin, hazel eyes, and bold black eyebrows. He has shaved black hair with a patterned line print on the sides of his head.
Outfits[]
For his main outfit, Rexx wears a knee length black puffer jacket with a patch on the left side. Underneath the puffer jacket, Rexx wears a black hoodie that says “I Don't Sparkle, I Just Have Shade”, and then it also prints the “Anti-sparkle - The Shady T-Shirt Company" words at the bottom. He also wears black denim pants, with "SH" on the pockets at the back. For his footwear, he wears black chunky boots with black laces, the front of the soles say "SH". He accesorizes with a pearl-silver chain around his neck and jet black airpods, and his nails are painted black.
Personality
Rexx is shown as being a rather friendly and outgoing person who’s often very supportive of his teammates and their ideas. He’s also shown to have a rather campy sense of direction and is often seen being giddy. Despite his carefree nature, he can be prone to fits of anxiety when things don’t go as planned.
Rexx is also shown to be rather strategic, preferring to stay in the shadows for most of the competition to keep the attention off of himself, but can also be just as creative and inspired as his fellow designers when he needs to be. Also, while Rexx himself has admitted to being a big fan and enjoyer of drama, he has also shown himself to have a very strong moral compass and set of standards. This is especially true when it comes to cheating, which he is strongly against as he considers it to be the “lowest form of basic”, and he is not afraid to expose someone for it when he has caught them red handed, even if it is at the cost of his own team or teammate.

Rexx, more often spelt as Rex, is a Latin name that means "king", with it directly translating to it.
McQueen[]
McQueen is an English and Scottish surname that means "pleasant". In his case, this last name is a reference to the famous fashion designer of Alexander McQueen.
Relationships
Friends[]
Reina "Glitch" Crowne[]
They are shown to be friends, as it is seen on Rexx's phone that he texts her. However, he still exposed her for cheating during the Deja Vu challenge, and the stares the two throw at each other during the runway walk imply that the incident may have hurt their friendship quite a bit. They seem to have made amends over the course of the series and still keep in touch.
Shanelle Onyx[]
Rexx and Shanelle get along very well, having a brother-sister type relationship. They always have each other’s backs, and Rexx is constantly seen supporting Shanelle while following her orders which she returns with appreciation.
Skyler Bradshaw[]
Rexx enjoys Skyler’s company and is shown to think she’s sweet, often smiling when she talks to him about how well he does with his work, and seems to have a fondness for her affections.
Timeline
- August 1st, 2022: Pictures of his box are leaked online.
- December 13th, 2022: More photos of his doll in box leak, and his official name is leaked.
- December 24th, 2022: He along with the other dolls from Shadow High Series 2 are available on Amazon USA and Canada.
Trivia
- He has a patch on his arm that appears to reference the brand Prada.
- He's the third boy to have airpods. The first being Ash Silverstone and the second being River Kendall from Rainbow Junior High Series 2.
- He is the only doll from Shadow High Series 2 to have a greyscale color theme.
- Oddly his eye color is similar to Shanelle's in his artwork, however on the doll, his eyes are brown. This was later fixed as seen on his Amazon banner.
- In the animated series, his eye color is the same to his artwork, instead of brown like his doll.
- Another change in the animated series is he doesn't wear his airpods and his nails aren't painted black unlike his doll for unknown reasons.
- He loves butterflies and admits to being a huge fan of Poppy’s butterfly dress.
