Shadow High (Doll Line)

Shadow High is a collection of dolls in the Rainbow High doll line, created to be one of the six known schools in the Rainbow High universe.

In-universe within the doll line, the schools consist of Rainbow High, Pacific Coast High - a sister school to Rainbow High - Shadow High - a neighboring school - a Seoul Select a school in Korea, Kingsley High in Australia, and Bottom Barrel High.

Shadow High is known to be Rainbow High's rival school. Shadow High grew jealous of them as they would always win contests and manipulate results, but Shadow High also claims that Rainbow High badly wants to be "them". However, not every Shadow High student is an antagonist, such as Neon Shadow, who are open to work with the Rainbow High students.

Fiction

Shadow High appears to be a very dark and desaturated colored school across the street where most students have unusual skin tone colors.

Dolls

All dolls have the same articulation and style as a normal Rainbow High doll. Unlike Rainbow High dolls, they aren't monochromatic to a specific color, and instead feature multiple desaturated shades of a color.

The Series 1 dolls were all in grayscale, having no color except for their eyes. Later dolls that came out however had colorful skintones (except for Ainsley Slater, who appears closer to a Rainbow High doll). They include new stands that have small spikes on it, and comb molds made specially for Shadow High dolls. Their packaging is a flipped version of the signature Rainbow High doll packs, with the second outfits being on the right side instead of left. The Shadow High Series 2 and Costume Ball dolls do not come with seconds outfits, but the Series 2 dolls come with acessories.

Trivia

Series 1 is the only line where all the dolls are all grayscale, while the other lines have desaturated colorful skin tones, with the exception of Rexx McQueen in Series 2.
Ainsley Slater is the only doll to have a realistic skintone, the reason being that she is a transfer student from Rainbow High.
