Skyler Bradshaw is a 2020-introduced and all-around character. She is a student at Rainbow High that is currently focusing in Fashion Design. Skyler is another exciting talent at Rainbow High, but she's not quite ready to share her work with the world. She is one of the most talented fashion designers at Rainbow High, but she prefers to stay anonymous and let her work speak for itself. And it does. Her girls aren't fooled by Skyler's quiet exterior, they know Skyler has big things in her future, and they'll be there to support her when she makes her debut. Skyler has all-American style with a modern twist.
Looks
Physical Appearance[]
Skyler is a teenage girl with a medium build and tan skin. She has hip-length, wavy hair dyed in different shades of blue, and parted to the side and bright blue doe-eyes. Her makeup typically consists of blue eyeshadow with a glitter highlight, white liner, a simple contour and highlight, and coral lipstick.[2] Her style is described as classic and "all-American," with a special inclination towards denim fabrics.
In the animated series, she has a darker skin tone than her original doll.
Outfits[]
Skyler's signature outfit consists of a midriff-baring, short sleeved white turtleneck shirt underneath a denim bustier top. The outfit also includes a denim miniskirt with white chevron stripes down the hips held in place by a clear, vinyl belt, and a denim jacket with white chevron stripes down the sleeves. Her shoes are translucent pastel blue sneakers with a blue platform sole accessorized by sky blue ankle socks with a cloud design.
Skyler's secondary outfit consists of a white, long-sleeved sweater with a mock neck with black diagonal stripes and the word "RAINBOW" written in rainbow letters down the sleeves. Over it, she wears an asymmetrical, light blue leather dress with a zipper running down the right side and metal studs decorating the straps and belt. Her shoes are blue heeled sandals with orange tags hanging off the ankle strap, accessorized with fishnet ankle socks.
Skyler's cheer uniform is a sleeveless sky blue and white crop top with a matching pencil skirt, having the shirt say both "Rainbow" and "22" on it and having white laces up the sides. Around her waist she wears a dark blue jacket, and she also wears tall white and blue socks with black, white, and sky blue heeled sneakers. She has her typical aqua and dark blue hair tied up in a curled high ponytail with bangs swept away from her face. She has bright blue eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, pink lipstick, and writing on her cheeks reading "22" and "RH". She has a white and glittery blue ribbon bow in her hair that says "RH" in blue and several silver crimped hair clips.
For her first Winter Break outfit, Skyler has a long aqua and sky blue snow jacket with a silver zipper down the middle and shoulder pads. Under this she wears a blue, sky blue, and white bodysuit with large sky blue snow boots. She has her usual blue hair that is worn down and styled into tight ringlet curls that reach her waist. She wears shimmery foundation with white and blue eyeshadow and magenta lipstick. She accessorizes with a light blue knit hat with tiny sequins sewn on it with a white pompom on the top.
For her second Winter Break outfit, she has a glittery white long sleeved shirt that is worn under a very fluffy white jacket with the word "Rainbow" embroidered on. She also wears light denim jeans with vertical lacey designs and white sandals that resemble ice skates.
As a Junior High student, Skyler wears a sky blue and white hoodie with silver designs on it, a denim pencil skirt, and sky blue sneakers with striped high tops and white cotton socks. She has long and wavy teal and dark blue hair worn down with a bun tied with a burnt orange plastic hair tie on the top of her head. She also wears subtle aqua eyeshadow, pink blush, and frosted pink lipstick.
Personality
Skyler is characterized by her shy, kind personality. She prefers to not talk that much and easily gets scared by almost anything that happens. She is super imaginative and can use classic designs to make something a big hit. She takes the designs and twists it her own way to make it look awesome. However, she doesn't usually brag or boast about her work - she lets it do the talking.
When it comes to relationships, she's shown to have a boyfriend since 6th grade. Still, she has no tolerance for those who don't treat their partners well, and especially boys who hurt her. She previously was Colin's girlfriend, but shut it down immediately upon learning that he wanted to break up with her.
Like most students at Rainbow High, Skyler is extremely talented. Although she is very shy and easily scared, she can make incredible designs that look stunning very quickly.

Friends[]
Ruby Anderson[]
Skyler and Ruby start off as casual friends, however they become very bonded after Skyler discovers that Colin is going out with Ruby behind her back. Ruby, being totally unaware that Colin was Skyler's boyfriend, abandons him and searches for Skyler. Now crying, Ruby comforts Skyler and lets her know she has no plans to mess with her relationship. Skyler opens up to Ruby, letting her know how much she cared for Colin. In response to this, Ruby builds up Skyler's confidence again, greatly strengthening their friendship.
Poppy Rowan[]
She and Skyler have a more casual relationship compared to the other girls, as they are roommates. In particular when Sunny first came to Rainbow High, she and Skyler worked together to cheer her up and make her feel right at home.
Sunny Madison[]
Just like Poppy, Sunny is close with Skyler due to the three of them being roommates. The two are frequently seen together and enjoy each other's company, with Skylar helping cheer Sunny up on her first day of school.
Jade Hunter[]
While being close and stable friends, Skyler and Jade do not interact very much, but they show a great deal of respect for each other's talents and contributions.
Violet Willow[]
Skyler and Violet get along well, despite having very different personalities. While Violet is usually the center of attention, Skyler prefers to be in the background. These differences allow them to critique and help each other, reining in any bad habits.
Bella Parker[]
Skyler and Bella were close friends, often bonding over their love of art and their more timid natures. When Bella was expelled, Skyler, like her other friends, all felt very sad for Bella and did not want her to go.
Amaya Raine[]
Like most of her friends, Skyler was rather awkward and uncomfortable around Amaya when she first came to Rainbow High, seeing her as Bella's replacement. This opinion did change however when she learned of Amaya's impressive talents in fashion, a skill they both shared. Their relationship grew even more when they started to team up on designing outfits for their group, working together to design all of the runway outfits.
Daphne Minton[]
While not much has been shown, her and Skyler are shown to be good friends, bonding over their love and tastes in fashion.
Avery Styles[]
Skyler initially admired Avery, mainly for her popularity, but never is shown to interact with her at first. However, she forms a friendship with Avery, with Avery talking about her and the other A’s origins and Skyler even offering to be their new A, which she seems to like. The two become so caught up in talking, that they fail to notice they left the fabric in the dye bath for too long, with Skyler blaming herself and Avery standing up for her. They remain close after this, bonding over their love for fashion.
Shanelle Onyx[]
The two form a very close bond over the course of Project Rainbow, with Skyler giving Shanelle support when she needs it and Shanelle showing huge interest in Skyler’s work. The two become close friends in the end, with Shanelle stating how proud she is of Skyler for winning Project Rainbow and them hugging and complimenting each other.

Colin[]
Skyler and Colin are shown to have a strong romantic relationship, being told to have been dating since 6th grade. All of this changes for the worst however, when Colin decides to go out with Ruby. This boils over at the Color Block Party, where Skyler is devastated to discover Colin going out with Ruby. Colin, however, argues that they have broken up, with Skyler not understanding this and being hurt. After lots of comfort and encouragement from Ruby, Skyler has gotten over Colin and is stronger from it, forgiving him in the process, but not allowing herself to rekindle their relationship.

Due to Skyler's timid nature, she greatly clashes with Gabriella's large ego and snarky personality, despite having a similar major.

She seems to be a huge fan of Tiara as she was hypnotized when Tiara entered the stage. Additionally, she cheered for her and the rest of The Royal Three.

Etymology
Skyler is an anglicized version of the name "Schuyler", it was presumably chosen for the "sky" within the name.
Bradshaw is a surname meaning "broad wood or copse" from the Old English "brad and sceaga". Bradshaw may also come from the character Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City; the character was a writer at Vogue magazine.
Trivia
- Skyler is not fond of surprises, getting startled easily.
- She is very shy and she doesn't like to talk much about herself.
- Along with all other Series 1 dolls, Skyler's doll was a Toy Book 2021 Doll of the Year Finalist.
- Target honored Skyler's doll as a Bullseye's Top Toys ages 5-7.
- The prototype version of Skyler had lighter skin and was named Sky.
- This name was also used in the earlier commercials in 2020.[3]
- Her appearance is similar to Blue Skye's appearance from the similar franchise Rainbow Surprise; because of this, she might be inspired by Blue Skye.
- She is proclaimed to be the most talented first-year fashion designer that Rainbow High has seen in a long time.
- In the animated series, she wears a sliver choker and sliver bracelets on both arms. She's one of the few characters to wear accessories that the doll didn't include; like a necklace, bracelets or a ring.
- Her father is a bird watcher who has even taught her a few bird calls.
- Some of Skyler's Cheer dolls had her name misspelled as "Skylar" instead of "Skyler" for unknown reasons.
