The Art of Fashion is the fifty-sixth episode released for the animated series Rainbow High, and the fifth episode of Season 4.
Official Description
The designers from Rainbow High and Shadow High must create a fashion statement inspired by art from around the work room. Kim Nguyen and Karla Choupette are leading their groups, and with so many amazing choices, it’s hard to pick one that speaks to all of them! How will they know when they’ve found their spark??
Summary
For this week of Project Rainbow, Maria assigns Kim and Karla as this week’s team leaders. For this challenge, Team Rainbow High and Team Shadow High must create an iconic fashion statement inspired by what they see in a room of objects and outfits for their models to wear. Kim and Karla select Francesca De Silva and Delfina Young as their models respectively, while Jewel Richie serves as this week’s special guest judge.
During the process, Team Shadow High is inspired by multiple things and couldn’t nail down one idea, so Karla decides to combine all their inspirations together for their design. Meanwhile, Kim is instantly inspired and uses a blank canvas for her design, leaving her teammates confused. At the midfield check-in, Maria reminds Kim to use her concept as proper clothing for the runway. Jewel finds Karla’s design messy and advises her to follow her gut. With motivation from Delfina, Karla is inspired by the shelf of Delft plates and the team starts over on a new outfit.
At the end, Delfina and Francesca model their teams’ outfits on the runway while Maria and Jewel judge. They announce Team Shadow High as the winner for their cohesive outfit while Kim is eliminated from the competition for going too bold on her design and failing to create a practical outfit. Project Rainbow will resume next time.

- Shadow High is referred to as Team 1 by Rexx.

- Amaya, Ruby, Jade, and Skyler are seen in their runway outfits in person.
- Shadow High wins this competition and Rainbow High loses. Along with that, Kim is sent home for making a weird box shaped outfit that didn’t work practically.
- The Greek Rainbow High channel aired this later since they did not air season 4 episode 4 in time.
