The Eclipse, - Phase One, Part One is thirty-seventh episode released for the animated series Rainbow High, and the fourth episode of Season 3.
Official Description
Luna's entire family has gone to Rainbow High, including her opposite twin sister, Sunny. Now Luna needs to prove she is loyal to Shadow High. To start the test, the Storm Sisters recruit Heather Grayson, a special effects makeup genius, to see just how faithful Luna really is.
Plot
The episode takes place at Shadow High, where the first years finish showing Naomi and Veronica their midterms. The twins walk around Luna and they have a silent conversation between one another. Veronica thinks that it's hilarious that Luna can coast around the school with doing the bare minimum; and brings up that she has ties to Rainbow High. Naomi joins in to say that Luna's entire family has gone to that "school" including her twin sister.
Luna claims that she's her own person, but Naomi asks if Luna is a Rainbow High sympathizer. Luna states she does not care about that "so-called" school or any "so-called" twin there. Neither of the twins believe Luna, and Naomi says that Luna will have to prove that she's willing to do anything it takes to go to Shadow High. Veronica says that they're about to introduce someone very important and claims that this is the beginning of the first test to see what Luna's ready to do to beat Rainbow High. Luna, eager to show the twins that she is good enough to stay, asks what the first test is; Naomi says Project Eclipse. Luna asks what that means and hears the sound of the stage behind her. Turning around, she faces the stage to see Heather Grayson. Heather greets Luna as if meeting for the first time; Luna awkwardly says hi and says that she knows who Heather is and that they've had five classes together and also knows that Heather is a special effect make-up genius. Veronica says of course Heather is but she's more than that even though she's just a first year.
Luna says that she's not sure on what they have planned; but says that they're obviously better than Rainbow High, asking if they have to keep proving it.
Trivia
Milestones[]
- This episode marks the first appearance of Heather Grayson, being the only underclassmen not appeared previously.
Errors[]
- In the final scene of the Rainbow Vision TV broadcast, Natasha can be seen both in the control room and holding the camera.
- This is most likely a mistake on the animators' part, as in the following episode, Shanelle can be see in the control room instead of Natasha.
- The episode was taken down and reuploaded because of some mistakes:
- Heather's name in her video was written as "Heather Greyson" with an "E" instead of an "A".
- The credits showed the "Not A Typical Day" cast instead.
Other[]
- This episode’s name added “Part One” for unknown reasons after a few weeks of it being released.
- The release date of the episode in some places, that being April 30th, 2022, is the same day as the rare "Black Moon" which came with a solar eclipse.
