The Junior High Jump! is the seventy-first episode released for the animated series Rainbow High, and the sixth episode of Season 5.
Official Description
When Violet creates the perfect shade of purple for her sparkle glow, it brings back a memory of when she used to paint in Junior High and created the perfect purple! For Sunny, it's not a happy memory because she thinks she's the reason Violet stopped painting!
But she has an idea: they can time travel back to Junior High and stop younger Sunny from throwing away Violet's paint! Violet doesn't want to mess with the past, but Sunny is determined to fix her biggest mistake!
Plot
The episode begins in Rainbow World as Violet is seen with Periwinkle mixing the perfect purple color out of sparkle glow. Hearing her shouting, Skyler pops in to check on her, with Violet showing off her perfect color. Sunny then enters and dramatically reveals that she's the reason Violet stopped painting when she was younger. In an effort to fix this, Sunny opens a portal to the past, with her, Violet, and their pets all going through it. Once on the other side they realize they're in Violet's junior high room, with them having literally time traveled.
With everyone being dumbfounded, they walk around her room and marvel at everything, with this being quickly stopped as they hear their younger selves entering the room. In a panic Violet grabs Sunny and their pets and hides in her closet, not wanting her past self to find her. Having no idea anything is different, their younger selves converse and talk about Violet's room, with Sunny helping her clean up. When she does, she ends up accidentally throwing out her good paint, leading Sunny to panic and Violet to comfort her. As the older girls hear this, they resolve their conflict and hug it out, with this triggering the song "Sparkleglow" to play and leading their younger selves to the closet, where they all dramatically meet.
Being obviously confused, they’re younger selves as the girls why they're there, with Violet coming up with the idea that this whole ordeal is actually a shared dream. The girls believe this and start asking them questions about the future, with them not answering as to not mess with the timeline. The girls do however sing the song "Friendship Is A Work Of Art" to their younger selves, with this song being all about their amazing friendship. When it is over, the older girls head through their portal back to Rainbow World as their younger selves happily hug each other as the episode concludes.
